Payment Method
Cox.com accepts the following methods for payment:
- Checking or savings account: The required information includes the full name on the account, routing number, account number, and account type.
- Debit or credit card: Accepted cards include Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. The required information includes the full name on the card, card number, Card Verification Value (CVV) code, country, billing ZIP code or postal code, and card expiration date. For Visa, MasterCard, and Discover cards, a three-digit code located on the back of the card is required. For American Express cards, a four-digit code located on the front of the card above the last four digits of the card number is required.
- Apple Pay: Customers must use the Cox App and an IOS device to make their payment.
Payments can be made online, through the Cox App, in person at a Cox Retail store, by mail, or by phone. Online payments can be made as a one-time payment or through EasyPay, an automatic monthly bill payment service. In-person payments can be made at Cox Retail stores or at third-party locations such as CheckfreePay (found in Walmart), Western Union, MoneyGram, and Fidelity Express. Payments by mail require the payment address for your location, which can be found at the bottom of the Cox.com Contact Us page under Payment Mailing Address. Payments by phone can be made through automated voice prompts or with a Cox agent during regular business hours. Cox Return Policy?
The return policy of Cox.com is as follows:
- Cox equipment must be returned within 15 calendar days of cancelling service to avoid unreturned equipment charges.
- Purchased equipment must be returned to a Cox-owned retail store within 30 days of purchase for a refund by the method used for purchase.
- For Cox Mobile Devices, do not take the device to a UPS store without a return label provided by a Cox agent. Upon initiating a device return, Cox Mobile will provide a return label to ship the device back for processing. There is a 14-day window to ship the device back. If not received prior to 18 days after the return label was created, the device will be shipped back to the customer.
- Accessories returned must be in the original unopened packaging.
- A restocking fee may be charged when exchanging or returning a device.
- Devices cannot be returned or exchanged if they have been replaced due to an insurance claim.
Please note that to avoid potential charges, it's recommended to downgrade or disconnect the service before returning your equipment. Also, not all equipment can be returned, so it's important to check which items must be returned to avoid charges. These include Digital Receivers, Power Cords / Power Supplies, Internet Modems, Telephone Modems, Remote Controls, Homelife Leased Touchscreen, and Cox-supplied Netgear router for Gigablast customers.

How To Open A Cox Account?
To open an account on Cox.com, follow these steps:
- Visit the Cox.com homepage.
- Click on "Register your Cox account".
